Tim Callan, CFP®, President
Tim co-founded Callan Capital with his brothers Ryan and Trevor in January of 2007. Prior to starting the company, Tim spent 7 years with Merrill Lynch and was a member of the firms dedicated high net worth division, The Private Banking and Investment Group.
Tim has been assisting high-net-worth individuals in the areas of wealth management since 2000. As a Certified Financial Planner®, Tim takes responsibility for clients’ overall financial planning and oversees asset allocation, money-manager due diligence, portfolio statistical analysis, mortgage and credit, and securities-based lending.
Tim earned a BS in finance at the University of Colorado and, prior to joining Merrill Lynch, worked at Charles Schwab in the Retail Strategy department and the Pacific Coast Options Exchange. He is on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of San Dieguito and a member of the Kiwanis Club of San Diego. Both of these non profit organizations focus on the needs of young children in the local community. He is also a member of the San Diego chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
